With the Ekolojik TaTuTa system The Bugday Association for Supporting Ecological Living is the official member of ECEAT for Turkey, as well as the national WWOOF organization of Turkey.

Sponsors
Ford Otosan made the TaTuTa project possible by donating the rights of use to the Bugday Association of an all-terrain pickup truck; it has been and will continue to be indispensable to the TaTuTa team in terms of transport and communication with host farms in various regions throughout Turkey.

The ATLAS Geography and Discovery Magazine has supported the TaTuTa project with the film used to take photographs of host farms and their surroundings and by designing, producing and donating the use of the maps displayed in the printed and electronic TaTuTa Guide.

About the Farm
Sultan and Vehbi Ersoz, their sons Mehmet(9), Erdal (19) and Muammer have designated the two, 3-person rooms, in the back part of their adobe home, for TaTuTa visitors. The house is situated among the same fields that the family cultivates. The toilet is alaturka and inside the home, while bath water is heated on a wood-burning stove. Meals are prepared by the ever-talented Sultan Hanim and guests eat together with the Ersoz family. Erdal is the only member of the family that speaks English but is only home in the summer months. Thus, the family would prefer that foreigners come while Erdal is home. The Ersoz family is one of the first in Turkey to have started organic farming but what distinguishes them is that, despite an unreliable market for their goods and losses due to a variety of causes, they don’t give up on organic farming. While the market for this years’ produce is still uncertain, we hope that the cornichon pickles, peppers, tomato paste, sun-dried tomatoes, vegetables and walnuts they produce this year will be bought and consumed at the deserved price by TaTuTa visitors or at local markets in the region.
