Ecological visits

The seeds of ecological visits were sown in the Buğday Restaurant in Bodrum in 1998. And in 2003 Buğday started its TaTuTa (Exchange of Agricultural Tourism on Organic Farms and Volunteer Experience)

The aim of the UNDP, GEF Small grants fProgramme (SGP) supported project is to provide finanacial support and/or support in the form of volunteer labour and/or informational support to farming families who make their living from organic farming in order to encourage organic farming and make it sustainable.

Buğday, working in cooperation with ECEAT (European Centre for Eco-Agro Tourism) and WWOOF (Willing Workers on Organic Farms), of which it is the sole representative in Turkey, assists in promotion abroad and the realisation of visits by foreign tourists and volunteers.

In 2004 a printed TaTuTa directory was published and also a web site - www.tatuta.org - to act as means of communication between farmers and visitors.
